A 45 W glue gun for 11 mm sticks with a published output of 16 grams per minute, a seven-minute heat-up, an interchangeable long nozzle and a folding stand foot.

The bottom line The most precisely specified gun of the nine: output rate, power, heat-up, cable length, weight and interchangeable nozzles. It takes seven minutes to heat and arrives with only three sticks.

Output in grams per minute

16 g/min is a rate, not an adjective. It says how quickly the gun lays glue, which is what decides whether a long joint can be finished before the first part cools. No other gun here states it.

Nozzles that change on the Steinel

A long nozzle for reach and a fine nozzle for precision make one gun serve two kinds of work. The fine nozzle costs extra; the listing is clear about that.

A slower start

Seven minutes is a long heat-up beside the cordless guns here. For the kind of repair the listing names, such as fixing skirting boards, that wait is part of a planned job.

Availability

At the last look-up, the German, French, Italian and Spanish Amazon stores were asking 29 € to 39 €.

It is sold in the British Amazon store as well, in its own currency, which the euro figures above leave out on purpose.
