A resin print comes off the plate coated in uncured liquid, and it has to be washed and then hardened under light before it is finished. A wash-and-cure station does both in one footprint. The wash container is published by its size, and it has to be taller than the tallest part the printer makes — a station matched to a smaller printer is a common mismatch. Agitation is a magnetic propeller under the container or a basket that moves the part, and it decides how well liquid comes out of crevices. The curing light is a ring or an array at the wavelength resins generally cure at, and a turntable turns the part so every side is exposed; a light that only reaches one face leaves the far side soft. Timers for both steps are standard. The lid blocks light and keeps fumes in, and the cleaning liquid — often isopropyl alcohol or a water-based cleaner, as the resin maker specifies — is flammable or irritating, so the maker's handling and ventilation instructions apply.
