ELEGOO Saturn 3 Ultra review

The large-format option: a 10-inch 12K screen and a 218.88 × 122.88 × 260 mm build volume, with Wi-Fi transfer and 4-point manual leveling.

The size is the reason

A 10-inch screen and 260 mm of height let you print busts, tall figures or a full plate of small parts in one run. That is what separates it from the 7-inch printers here.

Resolution

The 12K panel runs 11520 × 5120. Spread across a large screen, the pixels are not automatically smaller than on a 7-inch machine, so compare XY figures rather than the K number.

Practical costs

More resin in the vat, more waste to handle and a bigger wash station. Check that your wash station is taller than your tallest print.

Where it earns its place, and where it falls short

Strengths

  • The only build volume printed by an ELEGOO resin listing here
  • Large enough for tall models
  • Tempered glass protects the screen

Compromises

  • Leveling stays manual
  • Larger vat means much more resin per print
  • A bigger machine needs more ventilation planning

Our score

7.8/ 10

Buy it for the size. If your parts fit a 7-inch printer, the Mars 5 Ultra is the better value.
