PEBA in a TPU family

A different polymer sold against TPU. PEBA — polyether block amide — is a nylon-based elastomer. It belongs on this shelf because it competes for the same jobs, and the page names it for what it is rather than repeating “Super-TPU”.

Lighter and springier, as stated

20 % lower density and 78 % energy return are the maker’s figures, and both are given against TPU without saying which TPU. They describe why someone would pay more: lighter parts that spring back harder.

The price of the difference

At roughly three times the cost of the TPU spools reviewed here, PEBA is a material chosen for a specific property, not an everyday flexible filament.
