Jesverty SPS-3010V, 32 V 10 A, coarse and fine encoders review

A 32 V, 10 A bench supply with coarse and fine encoder knobs setting to 0.01 V and 0.001 A, an output on/off button, overcurrent protection and two 20 W USB charging ports.

The bottom line A practical supply for a mixed bench: 10 A, quick coarse-and-fine setting, output switching and two charging ports. It names only overcurrent protection, and its OPN mode is a convenience that needs care.

The SPS-3010V listing, bullet by bullet

Six bullets and a note: coarse and fine encoder knobs replacing potentiometers, with a setting resolution of 0.01 V and 0.001 A; USB-A and USB-C charging at 20 W each; an output on/off button; a selectable 115/230 V input, OCP, a temperature-controlled fan and an OPN output setting explained in a note; a compact 18 × 9.1 × 15.7 cm, 1.1 kg case; and a box with the supply, a power cable, test leads and a manual.

Coarse and fine on the Jesverty panel

One knob for whole volts, one for the decimals. Reaching 12.34 V takes two turns rather than a long spin, which is the everyday advantage of this layout.

OPN, and why it needs attention

Outputting at power-up saves a button press. It also means a load left connected receives power the moment the supply is switched on, so the setting is one to know about before relying on it.

One protection named on the SPS-3010V

Overcurrent protection is listed, and the fourth bullet ends with “and more”. Overvoltage and short-circuit behaviour are not described, and they are worth confirming in the manual.

Availability

At the last look-up, the German, French, Italian and Spanish Amazon stores were asking 54 € to 70 €.

It is sold in the American and British Amazon stores as well, in their own currency, which the euro figures above leave out on purpose.

How do the two knobs of the SPS-3010V work?

The first bullet says the coarse knob sets the value before the decimal point and the fine knob the decimals, with a setting resolution of 0.01 V and 0.001 A.
