Weller’s ET series and the WE1010

The series the station listing did not name. The WE1010 review on this site noted that its listing named no tip series and pointed to the WEP70 iron. This set names it: ET, made for the WE1010.

Reading Weller’s codes

The listing gives five codes and no shapes or widths. The product photograph shows the tips engraved with their codes: ETP and ETSL are conical, the long ETSL the finest, and ETA, ETB and ETC are chisels of different widths. Exact widths are in Weller’s catalogue.

Availability

At the last look-up, the German, French, Italian and Spanish Amazon stores were asking 20 € to 31 €.

It is sold in the British Amazon store as well, in its own currency, which the euro figures above leave out on purpose.

The American Amazon store returned no entry, so the buy button there opens a search rather than a missing page.
