WANPTEK POWER DPS605U, 0 to 60 V, 0 to 5 A review

A 0–60 V, 0–5 A bench supply with a four-digit display to 0.01 V and 0.001 A, an encoder with four buttons, automatic CC/CV switching and switchable overcurrent protection, plus USB-A and 18 W USB-C ports.

The bottom line A 60 V supply with a clear display and an efficient setting method. It names only overcurrent protection, and its box contents — UK plug, English manual — are worth checking for a European bench.

The DPS605U listing, bullet by bullet

Five bullets: a four-digit LED display showing voltage, current and power to 0.01 V and 0.001 A over 0–60 V and 0–5 A; an encoder with four buttons, each for a different value; USB-A and 18 W USB-C charging ports; automatic CC/CV switching and OCP that cuts the output on short circuit, the bullet written partly in Spanish; and a one-year warranty, with the supply, a UK-plug power cable, a test lead and an English manual in the box.

60 V on the WANPTEK bench

Twice the voltage of a 30 V supply, at half its current. 60 V × 5 A is 300 W on paper; the listing does not say whether the full current is available at the full voltage.

A mixed-language bullet

The fourth bullet alternates between German and Spanish mid-sentence. Its content is readable — CC/CV switching and OCP — and it is reported as such, but it is a sign the listing was assembled quickly.

A UK cable in a German box

The fifth bullet lists a power cable with a UK plug. On a supply sold to continental buyers, that means an adapter or a different cable before first use.

Availability

At the last look-up, the German, French, Italian and Spanish Amazon stores were asking 76 € to 80 €.

It is sold in the British Amazon store as well, in its own currency, which the euro figures above leave out on purpose.

The American Amazon catalogue lists the product, yet no seller was offering it.
