Reading FREEMASCOT’s figures

OD 6+ over 190–490 nm. Optical density is a logarithmic figure for how much light at a wavelength a filter blocks; the range says where FREEMASCOT states it applies. Outside that range, the listing makes no statement at all.

What FREEMASCOT does not say

No bullet describes the frame, how it fits, whether it has side shields or how much visible light passes through. Eyewear for a given laser is chosen from that laser’s wavelength and power as its maker publishes them, and from the marking printed on the glasses themselves. On the product photograph, the lens shows its wavelength range and a conformity mark; an EN 207 protection level is not legible there.

Availability

At the last look-up, the German, French and Italian Amazon stores were asking 25 € to 27 €.

It is sold in the British Amazon store as well, in its own currency, which the euro figures above leave out on purpose.
