The iHaospace IR module listing, bullet by bullet

Five bullets: a note that white marks on the board are flux, not corrosion; a transmitter driven by a single transistor that needs its waveform modulated by the program; use for infrared communication and remote control on Arduino, 51, AVR and ARM; a signal LED for debugging; and pins Out, Vcc and GND.

iHaospace leaves modulation to the code

38 kHz from software. The transmitter module switches the LED; the listing says the 38 kHz carrier has to be generated by the program. A library or timer code does that job.

iHaospace’s flux note

The first bullet heads off a return: residue on the board is flux left from soldering. The listing gives no voltage to go with its pinout. On the boards in the product photograph the output pin is printed DAT rather than Out.

Availability

At the last look-up, the German, French, Italian and Spanish Amazon stores were asking 8 € to 12 €.

The British Amazon catalogue lists the product, yet no seller was offering it.
